Introduction to ASL & Deaf Culture workshop
Join the MCC Hospitality department for an Introduction to ASL & Deaf Culture workshop!
Rita Straubhaar from MCC’s World Languages & Cultures department will lead an introductory session reviewing an introduction to deaf culture, an introduction to American Sign Language, and tips for working with Interpreters. ASL terminology learned will include general greetings and introductory signs.
Sessions will be held on Wednesday, December 4, at 3:00 p.m. in 3-158, and Friday, December 6, at 12:00 p.m. on Zoom. Each session will last about 45minutes. Sessions will be video-recorded to utilize as part of a larger Introduction to ASL & Deaf Culture project.
