Congratulations Erin Strobl, MCC's League Excellence Award Recipient
Erin Strobl, Associate Professor, Biology, is this year’s recipient of MCC’s League Excellence Award. This award is specifically designed to recognize dedicated, impactful leaders within MCC. Within the Biology Department, Erin is renowned for her professionalism, innovation, and service to students, MCC, and our community.
Erin has served as a full-time MCC Professor since 2013. Since joining the Biology Department, Erin’s natural leadership has shined, seen in her work with the Teaching & Creativity Center, the Biology Department’s Scholarship & Awards Committee, and the Biology Department Technology Committee. Most notably, Erin’s technological expertise and problem-solving skills met critical needs during the COVID pandemic. Prof. Tim Tatakis, retired, stated that if it weren’t for Erin’s help, he would have never been able to navigate Blackboard and teach his courses online.
When Erin is not teaching at MCC, she is serving our greater community by serving on the SUNY Brockport Environmental Science Program Advisory Board, volunteering at Wild Wings Wildlife Sanctuary, and advocating for domestic violence awareness at Willow Domestic Violence Shelter. It is an honor to congratulate Erin with this award, and we appreciate her many years of service at MCC!
